You don't have to tackle your taxes alone. There are a number of free resources online and in the Bay Area to support you with your tax needs.
Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC)
If you meet specific income guidelines you may qualify for pro bono assistance on a tax matter. If you are in the Bay Area, you can directly reach out the Bar Association of San Francisco’s LITC at (415) 982-1600.
Mission Economic Development Agency
MEDA is the now the largest VITA Site Free Tax Preparation program in the San Francisco Bay Area. Get free year-round tax return preparation at this clinic.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)
This program offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS)
